John Buckingham co-founded Value87 Investment Partners in 2026, bringing nearly four decades of investment management experience to the firm. He previously was the chief investment officer of Al Frank Asset Management and was the editor of The Prudent Speculator. Mr. Buckingham currently serves as editor of A Patient Prospector, an investment publication focused on long-term, fundamentally driven value investing.  

Throughout his career, Mr. Buckingham has been recognized for his independent investment research, market insights and Value perspective. He has been featured in Barron’s, The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, Forbes and others, while also making appearances on CNBC, Bloomberg and Fox Business. He is a recognized industry commentator and regularly speaks at prominent investment conferences and events.
