Ed Yardeni, PhD, is the president of Yardeni Research, Inc., a provider of independent global investment strategy research. In his publications, he explores trends in the economy and financial markets which are vital to a broad spectrum of investment decision makers. Dr. Yardeni previously served as chief investment strategist for Oak Associates, as chief investment strategist and a managing director of Prudential Equity Group, as chief investment strategist for Deutsche Bank, and chief economist for C.J. Lawrence, Prudential Securities, and E.F. Hutton. He taught at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business and was an economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Dr. Yardeni also held positions at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and the US Treasury Department in Washington, DC. He has published articles in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and Barron's. Dr. Yardeni has appeared on numerous television and radio business and financial programs. He completed his doctoral dissertation under professor James Tobin, a Nobel Laureate, at Yale University. Previously, Dr. Yardeni received a Master's degree in international relations from Yale. He completed his undergraduate studies magna cum laude at Cornell University.
