Bill Barhydt is founder and CEO of Abra, a popular digital currency wallet used to buy, sell, and manage Bitcoin, Ether, and over 50 fiat currencies in a single smartphone app. In 2012, Mr. Barhydt gave the first-ever TED talk on Bitcoin. He has also consulted to federal and international regulators on the impact of digital currencies and decentralized transaction systems. Mr. Barhydt was an early employee of Netscape, where he built some of the earliest online payment technologies. In 2000, he received the Technology Pioneer Award from the World Economic Forum for his groundbreaking work in online collaboration at WebSentric, the world's first online meeting service.
